It’s only when you get to the complete end of your own kindness that you are forced to rely desperately, wholly on God for the strength to be kind.
So do not confuse the tender-hearted nature of kindness with weakness. Man, if you think Jesus’ kindness makes Him weak, you don’t know Him.
We must form our definition of kindness based on God’s character.
How do we persevere in love beyond our feelings? Firstly, go to Jesus.
If we say we love God and yet don’t love others, we are living as liars and hypocrites.
Self-Control means living within God’s boundaries. Boundaries that He has put in place for our good, our protection and His glory.
Even the smallest of words used in the wrong way can set an inferno of pain that can cause utter destruction.
It’s vital that we help people to see that the gospel of Jesus, especially the resurrection, tells us that our bodies matter. They are important.
