When we see ourselves in light of the great loving kindness extended to us from God, we can’t help but forgive each other and extend the love and welcome of Jesus. And that’s kindness.

It’s only when you get to the complete end of your own kindness that you are forced to rely desperately, wholly on God for the strength to be kind.

So do not confuse the tender-hearted nature of kindness with weakness. Man, if you think Jesus’ kindness makes Him weak, you don’t know Him.

We must form our definition of kindness based on God’s character.

While all around went wobbly and things that were once dependable let me down, I learned to more deeply trust the truth that there is no shadow of change in the Lord.

Since God has shown His great love for us by forgiving us and imputing to us His righteousness, we can trust Him even in the valleys.

The righteous are those who trust in God. They have a certainty, a reliance, a confidence in God.
