If you are a Christian, you have a wonderful future and inheritance that you can look forward to, where all your longings for home will one day be perfectly fulfilled.

Jesus died to kill pride.

As God works in us and changes us over time he helps us to see that in serving him, we’re following in the footsteps of Jesus.

As new creations with a new identity in Christ we also have been given a new heart to live for God.

We might have seasons where our faith feels strong and following God seems easy but probably more often we feel as though we’re only just barely holding on by a thread.

The balance between spontaneous and structured is difficult to strike. But we must remain committed to both.

My kingdom needed to fall, my darkness needed to be exposed, and God in an act of grace and mercy did just that.

When we see ourselves in light of the great loving kindness extended to us from God, we can’t help but forgive each other and extend the love and welcome of Jesus. And that’s kindness.

It’s only when you get to the complete end of your own kindness that you are forced to rely desperately, wholly on God for the strength to be kind.

So do not confuse the tender-hearted nature of kindness with weakness. Man, if you think Jesus’ kindness makes Him weak, you don’t know Him.
