Erik Raymond is the senior pastor of Emmaus Bible Church in Omaha, Nebraska. He also has a blog, The Ordinary Pastor, on The Gospel Coalition.
In this video, shot at TGC 2015, Erik talks about the importance of committing to gospel work in poor areas over the long haul.
. . . if it doesn't happen right away, if we don’t immediately see a whole community get converted and a multitude of people from that community converted then we get discouraged and fade back. You’ve got to realise that, particularly in impoverished communities, it’s going to take a long time. So there needs to be commitment over the long haul to see gospel work done.
