Later this year, we are planning to record our first collection of congregational hymns. ‘Hymns In Hard Places’ will be an album of songs suitable for singing in a church service context.
These hymns have been written to address a number of themes, but most significantly, they contain truths from God’s Word to encourage, teach, and spur on God’s people living in difficult circumstances including poverty, depression, addiction, persecution, abuse, and bereavement. In each case, we are striving to write songs which will point our brothers and sisters who are living in hard places around the world to find contentment in Christ, reminding them of their certain hope in Him. We simply want to point people to the truth and comfort of His Word.
This is a collection of three of those songs which we are planning to record for the album, which we were invited to share at the Worship God 2019 conference in Louisville. These recordings will also be available on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and all the other usual platforms in the next few days. Keep a look out on our social media for when they are available.
Lastly, please pray for me as I continue writing and editing songs ready to start recording this collection, Lord willing, later this year.
